Allen-Bradley Kinetix 300 EtherNet/IP servo drive

Thursday, 15 April, 2010 | Supplied by: Rockwell Automation Australia

The Allen-Bradley Kinetix 300 EtherNet/IP indexing servo drive enables a single communication network to be used for easier machine commissioning, configuration and start-up.

The entire control solution - including HMI, automation controllers, I/O and motion - can be connected over a standard EtherNet/IP network, eliminating the need for a dedicated motion network while maintaining high-speed connectivity.

Able to support up to five indexing types and 32 indices, the drive is suitable for indexing tables, intermittent horizontal and vertical form/fill/seal machines, as well as simple sleevers, case packers and erectors.

Combined with Allen-Bradley MP- or TL-Series motors and a CompactLogix L23 or CompactLogix L32 controller, the servo drive provides a solution for low axis-count motion applications.

The drive features seamless integration with Rockwell RSLogix 5000 software, drive-based web configuration tools and safe torque-off functionality to protect personnel and increase productivity.

The drive has the available voltage and power ranges to meet a wide array of global machine requirements, including applications in the packaging, alternative energy and manufacturing and assembly industries.
