The E250 range of latching relays (also known as stepping relays) offer convenient changeover of contact position after an impulse signal from a push-button or similar.
The range utilises a standard DIN-rail mounting format. The position of the contacts will switch in response to each pulse sent to the coil via normally open push-buttons or as part of a control circuit. The design of the mechanism allows the coil to withstand a ‘button stuck’ condition without damaging the coil.
The relays also provide a manual control lever that allows simple indication of the contact position.
Contact configurations of 1 NO, 1 NO + 1 NC, 2 NO, 1 CO and 2 CO are available, with ratings of 16 and 32 A. A variety of coil voltages in both AC and DC is available to cover most control circuit applications. The coils have a dual AC/DC voltage rating with a DC/AC ratio of 0.5:1.
The relays are often used in applications such as the control of lighting circuits, duty cycling of pumps and any application where a simple method of sequencing is required.
