The DUV10A vibration analysis sensor assists in preventing unplanned gear-unit downtime by permitting the early detection of gear-unit wear and damage, enabling site personnel to accurately predict and plan gear-unit maintenance.
The sensor allows the early detection of roller bearing and gearing damage, as well as gear-unit unbalance and resonance detection, having been designed to detect 20 individual frequencies across the entire vibration spectrum, as well as monitoring shock loads.
Equipped with an RS232 port, the sensor can be set up and interrogated in the field, while a second I/O port accommodates speed input and alarm output connectivity to supervisory PLCs so an alarm can be sent to an on-site HMI, SCADA or PC.
Software for sensor configuration and calibration is included with the device. System diagnosis is further aided by a ‘green-yellow-red’ LED indicator that provides a ‘quick check’ option to establish the status of the gear-unit internals.
