Transformer analyser

Thursday, 09 July, 2009 | Supplied by: Power Parameters Pty Ltd

The Serveron continuous, online, dissolved gas analysis monitor for transformers is available in two models, both based on closed-loop gas chromatography.

The TM8 monitors eight gases (hydrogen, oxygen, methane, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, ethylene and acetylene) and the TM3 monitors methane, ethylene and acetylene.

Both models also analyse moisture in oil and oil temperature. Oil is sampled continuously and gas analysis intervals can be selected between every two to 12 hours. System calibration is automatically performed to NIST traceable gas standards. Alarms provided include two, individually programmable caution and alarm settings for level in ppm as well as rate of change in ppm/24 h.

Communication options include RS-232, RS-485, ethernet, cellular modem, internal POTS modem (V92) and wireless connection. Other options available are three 4-20 mA inputs and one RS-232 port for optional devices. Communication protocols can be selected from TCP/IP, DNP3, Modbus RTU and ASCII, and OPC.
