Threadless metal junction boxes

The Presslock threadless metal junction boxes are designed for use with standard galvanised metal conduit, without having to thread the conduit.

The junction boxes, available in 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-way formats to suit 20 or 25 mm conduits, feature indented spigots at the entries to provide a press-fit with the conduit. For an IP65-rated installation that protects against the ingress of water and solid foreign objects, Loktite 510 or equivalent gasket flange sealant can be used on the joint. The lids on the junction boxes are fitted with rubber gaskets to ensure the units are fully sealed.

The fast and simple installation process afforded by the junction boxes enable steel conduit to be used cost effectively to install electrical, data and instrumentation cabling in environments where the cabling may be damaged, such as industrial electrical installations, elevator shafts, refineries and mining environments.

The fittings are finished in zinc satin chrome, making them suitable for both internal and external installations. They are compatible with screwed steel and PVC conduits using specially designed fittings.
