A supercharged version of the HiLux dual-cab utility has been released by Toyota’s high-performance arm TRD, as an extension to the HiLux range.
The TRD HiLux began production in February. It is the second vehicle in the TRD line-up, following the launch of the TRD Aurion in August 2007, which also features the Eaton 4-lobe supercharger.
The performance-oriented 4 x 4 double cab is distinguished by a boldly designed exterior and interior to complement the supercharged 4.0-litre V6 engine and enhanced suspension and brakes.
Power has been increased by more than 25% over the standard engine’s 175 kW, while peak torque has been increased from 376 to over 400 Nm.
