Load break switches

The Sirco M range of modular load-break switches and accessories manufactured by Socomec is a modular switching concept, covering the range 16-125 A and combining seamlessly with the existing Socomec range of load-break switches to offer solutions to a variety of power switching and control applications, ranging from 16 to 4000 A.

The range is designed to be installed in a range of commercial, industrial and mining applications. The system allows users to configure direct or external front, or external right-side operation, or convert a standard 3-pole device to a multi-pole load-break switch or changeover switch.

The AS/NZS 3947-3 compliant device combines the features of a load-break switch and a changeover switch in a modular design. Adding accessories to a 3-pole switch, 4, 6, 8 or even a 9-pole load-break or 3/4-pole changeover switches can be created. Changeover switches can be a simple (I-0-II) changeover, or a (I-I+II-II) make-before-break changeover operation.

The devices can be mounted into various enclosures, such as panelboards, load centres, custom control panels, main switchboards, or door/panel-mounted for local machine control.
