The EMC metal liquid-tight cord-grips, manufactured by Heyco Products, are designed for use in applications where electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is needed. Typical applications include wind power installations, electrical junction boxes, generators, telecommunications, instrumentation, computer peripherals and lighting.
Manufactured from nickel-plated brass and a TPE gland, the cord-grips offer 360° shield contact with the sleeve due to braided shield which runs into the gland. The combination of the sealing insert and the contact socket ensures a constant contact quality with minimal transfer impedance.
Long threads are provided (available in both PG and metric threads), enabling them to be used in standard or thick panels and to provide inner cable protection. Their IP68 rating and temperature range of -40 to +100 °C enable the cord-grips to be installed in harsh environments.
The range includes a number of different sizes to accommodate cable diameters from 2.5 to 25.5 mm, with EMC locknuts that have cutting teeth to provide optimal shield contact also available.
