The Fitel S178 splicer is a core alignment system that is claimed to cut the entire splicing time by 20% and sleeve shrinking time by 30%. It is said to deliver improved precision, accuracy and automated functionality with speed, portability and robustness. Transferring data and video images is faster and more reliable with the incorporated USB 2.0 communication interface.
The Fitel S325 cleaver is a handheld cleaver that allows one-step cleaving anywhere. On-site maintenance is now claimed to be easy, as it has high-capacity fibre waste collection.
The splicer’s features include: fast 7 s splice at super low loss and fast 25 s heating; 200 cycles (splicing and heating) with two rechargeable lithium-ion batteries; available for all METRO/LAN/FTTx fibres, including ultra-bend-insensitive fibres, eg, EZ-Bend.
