Friday, 26 November, 2010

Some of Western Australia’s best electrical apprentices were recognised recently at the Annual Electrical Group Training (EGT) Apprentice of the Year Awards, recognising EGT’s highest performing electrical apprentices from 1st year through to 4th year.
EGT is an integral part of the NECA WA Group, which consists of NECA WA, the College of Electrical Training (CET) and EGT.

The Honourable Minister for Energy; Training and Workforce Development, Peter Collier, opened the evening in front of 250 industry representatives including contractors, industry business partners, educators, NECA WA Group staff and government representatives.

Stuart Diepeveen, EGT General Manager, said: “I am very pleased with the standard and number of nominees for the EGT awards this year. Our 14 medallists represent the top 2% of our apprentices and I have no doubt they are destined for greatness upon completion of their apprenticeships.
