Skills Show Australia — electrical installation competition

The Skills Show Australia 2018, Australia’s flagship skills and trades event, will be held from 2–4 June 2018 at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Sydney.

Funded by the NSW Government and presented by World Skills Australia, the event is the only vocational education and training (VET) focused event in Australia. The event is a celebration of trades, skills, vocational education and training and industry excellence. Visitors to the show will be provided with an opportunity to discover future careers through interactive events, demonstrations and competitions.

The event will also play host to skills and trade competition, the WorldSkills Australia National Championships 2018. Hundreds of young people from across Australia will compete to be recognised as the nation’s best in about 50 different vocational skills. Each competitor will be vying for the opportunity to represent Australia in the 45th WorldSkills Competition, to be held in Kazan, Russia, in 2019.

The National Championships

Held every two years, the WorldSkills Australia National Championships is a culmination of months of training for the nation’s best young tradespeople. Each competitor has trained and studied to earn their spot to compete in the national circuit after medalling at a regional level.

The competitors come from across Australia and represent dozens of trades and skills from a diverse range of industries. Attend the event to witness the next generation of skilled tradespeople in their element.

Electrical Installation competition

The Electrical Installation competition will have 12 competitors vying for gold, silver and bronze throughout 2, 3 and 4 June. Competitors will represent 16 different regions from around the country including Ballarat, Perth, Melbourne and the Gold Coast.
