New CEO for Clipsal Solar
Tracy Richardson has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Clipsal Solar.
Richardson comes to Clipsal Solar from Trabr, an Australian home improvement start-up, where she was co-founder and chief operating officer. Prior to founding Trabr she was chief marketing officer of hipages, the digital home improvement marketplace.
Founded in 2018, Clipsal Solar is a start-up backed by SE Ventures, Schneider Electric’s corporate venture arm, and provides data analytics to rooftop solar owners to make the most of their investment and save on their energy bills. Australia is one of the highest adopters of residential rooftop solar globally: over 20% of Australians now have rooftop solar, and Clipsal Solar is expected to reach 10,000 sites in early 2021.
“We are very pleased to welcome Tracy to the helm of Clipsal Solar,” said Heriberto Diarte, Managing Partner of SE Ventures.
“We have developed the best direct to consumer solar offering in the world right here in Australia, and Tracy — who specialises in growing and scaling up businesses — will help take the company to the next level.”
Speaking on her new role, Richardson said she was thrilled to join the Clipsal Solar team.
“Clipsal is an iconic Australian brand, and I’m excited to join at this exciting stage for the company,” she said.
“Australia has some of the highest energy prices in the world, and the rooftop solar market is growing. Solar is a considerable investment for homeowners, and so we know there’s huge potential to grow Clipsal Solar to help more Australians get the most out of their investment,” she said.
