New members of the Sustainable Energy Association of Australia (SEA) have been announced following the association’s annual general meeting.

SEA has welcomed two new board members: Rodney Littlejohn, managing director of Tersum Energy, and Antony Piccinini of FRV Services Australia.

The new members fill board vacancies arising from the resignations of Alannah MacTiernan, the recently elected Federal Member for Perth, and Harry Porrins, a founding member of SEA.

Porrins was bestowed with a life membership of SEA at the AGM in recognition of his valuable contributions to the association.

Mike Laughton-Smith of Balance Services Group was elected as chairman and Ray Wills of Duda&Wills continues in the deputy chair role.

The new SEA board includes:

  • Mike Laughton-Smith, chief executive, Balance Utility Solutions (chairman)
  • Ray Wills, director, Duda&Wills (deputy chair)
  • Carl Barrett, group manager, Energy & Environment, BGC
  • Regina Flugge, senior manager environmental sustainability, RAC
  • Kelli Friar, manager strategy implementation and integration, Horizon Power
  • Rodney Littlejohn, managing director, Tersum Energy
  • Antony Piccinini, FRV Services Australia
  • Sean Webb, centre manager, Centre for Microscopy Analysis & Characterisation, the University of Western Australia

“I looking forward to the role of chairman of SEA and extend my sincere thanks to Sean [Webb] for his significant contribution in that role as my predecessor. I believe the elected board have the right mix of skills and experience to lead the Sustainable Energy Association into the next phase of its growth,” said newly elected chairman Mike Laughton-Smith.

“The board is a strong reflection of SEA’s industry membership and we are looking forward to working closely with our CEO Kirsten Rose to continue advocating for an accelerated sustainable energy future for Australia.

“I would also like to thank outgoing board members Alannah MacTiernan and Harry Porrins for their contribution to the association over the years. We are a stronger organisation for their involvement.”
