NECA WA Apprentice of the Year Awards
The 2010 NECA Apprentice of the Year Awards were held recently in Perth, providing an opportunity for the industry to officially recognise the talent and achievements of the state’s best electrical and communication apprentices.
The General Manager of NECA’s West Australian chapter, Kyle Kutasi, said the winning apprentices were chosen because of their commitment to excellence in a challenging and rapidly changing industry: “The winning apprentices and their employers have all shown an outstanding contribution and commitment to the future of the industry.
“As the electrotechnology industry continues to grow and tackle new technological challenges, it is encouraging to see that West Australian electrical and communication apprentices and their employers are leading the country in everything from safety through to continued development in industrial, commercial, domestic and communications sectors.”
The winning apprentices and their employers were:
- Industrial Apprentice of the Year: Matthew Bamborough, employed by Electrical Group Training and hosted by I Power Solutions;
- Commercial/Domestic Apprentice of the Year: Paul Solarz employed by Electrical Group Training and hosted by Vision Cabling; and
