NECA awards top apprentices
NECA, the National Electrical and Communications Association, has celebrated the successes of the next generation of electrical contractors at the annual National Electrical Apprentices Awards.
Apprentices from all across the country gathered in Sydney to hear who had won the three awards: Industrial, Commercial/Domestic and Communications.
In the Industrial category, Pat Mammone of Nilsen (Vic) Pty Ltd won the prize, with Daniel Lorca Vilches from Southern Cross Electrical Engineering taking out second prize. Blake Godwin from Bass Electrical Engineering and Kenneth Gosnold from VIP Electrical Solutions were jointly awarded third.

The Commercial/Domestic category was won by Steven Granger of PA & WM Reilly Electrical Contractors. Bon Electrics’ Dominic Bailey was awarded second prize and Nicholas Anderson from Luke’s Electrical Solutions was awarded third prize.
Kane Sturzebecher of APEX Communications won the Communications category. NECA Group Training apprentice Spiro Wassef was awarded second place for his work with Stowe Australia.
