NECA ACT 2008 Excellence and Apprentice Awards
In projects reflecting the importance of innovation both in new buildings and re-fits, five contracting companies were recognised at the 2008 NECA ACT Excellence Awards held on 5 September. On the same day, four apprentices were also recognised for their outstanding hard work and dedication at the Apprentice of the Year Awards.
“Our members find themselves at the cutting edge of technology in a rapidly changing world,” said NECA ACT president, Greg Kempton.
“These awards provide an opportunity for us to reflect on the work over the previous year, celebrate what has been achieved and learn from each other.”
“This year’s project entries were diverse,” added Lindsay Le Compte, NECA ACT chief executive. “This year I was particularly impressed at the level of innovation. It never ceases to amaze me how our members will do whatever it takes to get a job done successfully — all without compromising the industry’s high safety standards.”
