Created in 2009, the Middy’s Scholarship Program offers an extensive range of training and skill enhancement courses which deliver the skill sets and competitive edge needed to succeed in today’s challenging environment. Over the past five years, Middy’s has awarded more than $400,000 in industry training.
Applications for the scholarships were judged by an independent panel which included representatives from NECA, Energy Safe Victoria and Electrical Connection magazine.
The scholarship packages allow recipients to undertake tailored training in 2014 from a range of courses incorporating subjects such as energy efficiency, project management, estimating and OHS.
All Victorian- and Tasmanian-based A Grade electrical contractors and data installers (with CAT5e endorsement), as well as fourth-year electrical apprentices, are eligible to apply for the scholarships.
The scholarship program will run again in 2014.
