Lighting industry technical workshop

Friday, 31 July, 2015

A one-day technical and regulatory workshop for the lighting industry will be held in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane this September through Lighting Council Australia.

The workshop will cover a range of technical and regulatory issues affecting Australia’s lighting industry including compliance requirements for electrical safety, energy efficiency and electromagnetic compatibility.

Presentations will be made on recent proposals for regulation of LEDs and commercial lighting from the Australian Government, some of which are set to have far-reaching consequences for the industry.

Lighting Council Australia’s CEO Bryan Douglas said that the workshop provides an excellent opportunity for the lighting industry and its stakeholders to come up to speed with the confusing array of lighting regulations governing the Australian marketplace and to gain an understanding of what is coming up in the future.

Workshop dates:

  • Brisbane — 15 September
  • Sydney — 16 September
  • Melbourne — 17 September
