IES: The Lighting Society offers Basics of Efficient Lighting course
IES: The Lighting Society (IESANZ) is presenting Enlightenment: The Basics of Efficient Lighting - an introductory course in energy-efficient lighting.
To be delivered by a combination of face-to-face teaching and online assessment and revision, the course consists of three face-to-face seminar days, usually held over three consecutive weeks.
The course aims to provide basic lighting information to those new to the industry. It is also suitable for those already working in the industry who wish to broaden their knowledge and expand their skills.
Participants who fulfil the assessment requirements will receive a Professional Development Certificate of Completion from IESANZ.
Course topics include:
- Lighting units and photometry
- Introduction to lamps
- Control gear and control systems
- Design techniques
- Standards and codes
- Sustainability and design
- NSW and Victoria energy-saving schemes
The course is suitable for a range of attendees in the lighting industry:
- Retail lighting staff
- Sales representative lighting staff
- Electrical contractors
- Facility managers
- Factory staff
- Manufacturing staff
- Wholesale staff
Companies wishing to enrol 10 or more participants may be able to set their own dates for in-house courses. The cost for the three-day course is $1210 for non-members, $1100 for members and $1045 for groups of five or more from the one organisation. Non-member registration includes one year’s complimentary membership to IESANZ.
The course is supported by the Lighting Council Australia and IESANZ.
