Emerson Network Power promotes Robert Linsdell to A/NZ MD
Emerson Network Power has promoted Robert Linsdell to the position of managing director of its Australia/New Zealand (A/NZ) business.
In this expanded role, Linsdell will oversee the development, coordination and execution of key programs for the A/NZ market. He will lead the team as it continues its aggressive push in the region, targeting more customers and bringing Emerson’s solutions to the enterprise, industrial and mid-market areas.
Linsdell joined Emerson Network Power Australia in March 2011 as state sales manager for New South Wales. In 2014 he was appointed director of national sales, where he was directly responsible for all sales verticals and regional sales.
Prior to relocating to Australia, Linsdell was general manager, Europe, for Rohm and Haas (Shipley Electronic Materials), based out of France. He previously had a long-tenured and successful career with Morton International (which later became part of Rohm and Haas), where he last served as vice president for Europe.
“The enterprise business continues to be a very important part of our business. Internet of Things (IoT) is changing the way our customers operate, which means they need IT infrastructure that is agile [and] scalable, but more importantly, solutions that provide them a competitive advantage,” said Linsdell.
“Additionally, I am very optimistic about future growth opportunities in our channel business. In particular, I am very excited about our new partner acquisition program that now gives us a solid footprint across Australia and New Zealand, which ultimately enables us to reach out to a broader partner and reseller community.”
Linsdell obtained a Diploma in Industrial Management from Brighton University. He also holds a Strategic Marketing qualification from Wharton University in the US and has completed programs in Finance for Executives from Insead in France.
