DB Smart home and energy efficient solutions gaining popularity
Technology solutions company Auztech Industries recently received a Highly Commended award for the Best Media Room and Best Dressed System in the 2009 Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) Electronic Lifestyle awards.
Starting the company in 2003 after identifying a market for smart home and energy efficient solutions, CEO and founder Sam Blacket notes that Queenslanders are becoming more environmentally (and cost) conscious: “People are definitely starting to investigate easier, more cost-effective ways to incorporate technology into their homes.”
CEDIA Asia Pacific Executive Director Stephen Miller says Auztech is a great example of how the industry has developed: “Auztech Industries should be very proud of its awards and we wish it future success as it delivers exciting projects to its customers.”
Last year, Auztech won the highly contended (contested?) award for Best Integrated Home Installation under $150,000.
Auztech offers expert advice and workmanship to seamlessly integrate home automation control, energy efficient lighting control, home cinema, multi-room audio, smart wiring, motorised blinds and air conditioning.
Blacket says Auztech understands how important it is to get a home environment right: “We understand the living space and we have the expertise that will incorporate the best technology products to suit the client’s home, lifestyle and budget. We specialise in hiding the technology into the background.”
Aside from residential properties, Auztech has also been involved in multi-million dollar commercial developments including Queensland Tennis Centre, Watpac head office and Waterfront sales office for the upcoming luxury Mirvac apartments.
The company is a member of the CEDIA and all staff take regular courses to keep up with technology advancements.
