Changes to Energy Efficiency Council board
In December the Energy Efficiency Council (EEC) members elected two new directors, Rob Thomson, Group General Manager at Energetics and Paul Troughton, Manager of Regulatory Affairs at EnerNOC. Rob and Paul bring a wealth of experience in strategy, policy and organisational management that will significantly strengthen the EEC.
In February, Simon James stepped down as president of the EEC to focus on other matters, having led the council through a strong period of success and growth from 2009 to 2013.
The EEC Board elected Rob Thomson from Energetics as the new president of the EEC, and Simon Helps, director of Cogen Advice, as vice president. Thomson and James will oversee the next period of growth for the council.
The Energy Efficiency Council is the peak body for energy efficiency and cogeneration services and products, focusing on the non-residential sector. The council was formed in 2009 to give a voice to the energy efficiency and cogeneration industry and bring providers and clients together to develop products that meet client needs, growing the market for energy-efficiency services.
