Australia's best tradies recognised with awards
The winners of the inaugural Australian Tradie of the Year Awards 2020 have been announced.
These awards are a grassroots initiative created by Invoice2go to celebrate the people who make up Australia’s thriving, dynamic and diverse trades industries.
The four categories were Male Tradie of the Year, Female Tradie of the Year, Community Tradie of the Year and New to the Trades.
Judged on factors such as their commitment to the industry, business acumen, quality of their work and community spirit, the winners — determined by an expert judging panel of TV personality and former presenter of Better Homes and Gardens and Room for Improvement Rob Palmer and Invoice2go CFO Mark Bartels — were:
- Male Tradie of The Year: Clinton Pearce, Broken Hill Plumbing Services.
- Female Tradie of the Year: Kerryn Robinson, D&K Enterprizes.
- Community Tradie of the Year: Jacob Pearce, Pearce Technologies.
- New to the Trades: Zakir Mozafari, Rapid Tiling & Waterproofing.
“We were blown away by the quality of the submissions, and selecting four winners from hundreds of entries was an incredibly challenging task. In the end, though, Clinton, Kerryn, Jacob and Zakir really stood out as inspiring individuals and worthy winners of our inaugural competition,” said Bartels.
The winners each receive a $1000 cash prize, a one-year subscription to Invoice2go’s Unlimited Plan and a selection of work garments, as well as a gift voucher from workwear retailer ELWD Workwear. They will also receive exclusive Tradie of The Year Award winner branding to stick on their car or van, and add to their invoices, estimates and email signatures.
