The RTA XMind-B6 stepper drive is powered by direct connection to 240, 220 or 110 VAC. When using a 240 VAC supply, this provides a 325 VDC motor supply rail which is suitable for high speed and acceleration.

This high-efficiency bipolar chopper drive is particularly suited to high-torque, high-speed applications and as a cost-sensitive replacement in brushless servomotor applications. Suitable motors are the Sanyo Denki SM series 34 frame two-phase stepper motors. The X-Mind has step and direction inputs which are opto coupled. Motor current is adjustable from 3.5 to 6 A and the step and direction inputs are compatible with most 5, 12 and 24 V motion controllers.

Motor resolution is also adjustable from 400 to 4000 steps/rev.
