CMP-series servomotors

Sunday, 01 June, 2008 | Supplied by: SEW-Eurodrive Pty Ltd

The CMP-series servomotors are lower-torque motors that complement the CM-series servo in a compact form-factor.

The three-phase permanent-magnet servo is founded on advanced rare earth magnetic materials and cooling fin-free aluminium housing.

The device is available in torque ratings ranging from 0.5 to 7.1 Nm, three distinct frame sizes and eight models in speed ratings of 3000, 4500 and 6000 rpm.

The servos are complemented by a wide range of high-precision and standard gear units.

The units feature low inherent mass moment of rotor inertia, 'four times rated torque' overload capacity, cogging levels minimised to below 2% and emitted sound levels between 55 and 75 dBA at all speeds.

The CMP servo series is provided with 'SM' plug-connectors (both for power and resolver/encoder connections) for fast on-site installation and servicing when combined with pre-manufactured cable assemblies.
