Schneider Electric OsiSense XMLP pressure sensors

Thursday, 05 July, 2012 | Supplied by: Schneider Electric

The OsiSense XMLP pressure sensors are suitable for control and monitoring in many different applications and can also be used to indirectly measure variables such as fluid and gas flow, speed, water level and altitude.

The series is designed to be used with applications within the HVAC and hydraulic industries, which includes the refrigeration and air-conditioning markets. The pressure sensors are suited to mobile lifts, cranes and specialist vehicles with built-in hydraulic systems.

Features include: thin film technology, combined with a no-gasket requirement on selected models, for use with refrigerant gases; a welded pressure unit which sits directly onto the stainless steel body of the pressure transmitter allowing use with all types of fluids, including hydraulic oils, refrigeration gases, freshwater and sea water; a stainless steel (304) design, with flexible pressure-range options (from 0 to 600 bar) and connections including G1/4A or 7/16-20 UNF for fluid and M12 or DIN 43650 for electrical connections.

The series offer a high level of protection from dust and moisture, with IP65 or IP67, and can operate with fluid temperatures from -30 to 120°C. Each unit is available with either 4-20 mA, 0-10 V or 0.5-4.5 V output options.
