MOXA has launched the VPort P06HC-1MP-M12 series of rugged IP cameras that support 720p images with an advanced constant bit rate control function. The cameras have an anti-vibration ethernet connector and a built-in microphone for implementing an intercom function as well as an IP66-rated housing. An optional decorative plate is also available for flush wall-mount installations.

Featuring a metal housing with IP54 water and dust protection, the camera’s rectangular form factor is suitable for applications requiring an unobtrusive flush wall-mount installation. The cameras are also compliant with EN 50121-3-2 (EMC), EN 61373 for shock and vibration, and essential sections of EN 50155, with standard models designed for T1 temperatures.

CBR Pro is an advanced bit rate flow control technology that limits the transmission bit rate based on a user’s network bandwidth. This function is designed to secure the video stream transmission to provide the best image quality by eliminating the dropped packets that occur when the peak bit rate exceeds the bit rate allowed by the network bandwidth.

The camera has one microphone for audio input, allowing operators to both see and hear what’s happening on-site. To increase the reliability of video transmissions over networks in high-vibration environments, the series features a 4-pin M12 D-code ethernet connector to ensure network connectivity.
