The NEC LCD Technologies NL8048BC19-02 module is a 7" TFT LCD with WVGA resolution, 50,000 h claimed life and white LED backlighting.
In addition to its low power consumption, the module is supplied in a slimline package that is resistant to shock and vibration. It has been designed with wide-format resolution to meet the rising demand for such in various industrial applications.
The module features 160° viewing angles both horizontally and vertically, 1000:1 contrast ratio and 25 ms response time.
By incorporating efficient white LEDs into the backlight system, which eliminates the need for inverter circuitry, power consumption is claimed to have been reduced by over 30% compared to modules using cold-cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFL). The risk of damage to an LCD due to shock and vibration is small compared to CCFL.
A wide operating temperature range of -20 to +70°C enables the module to be used in extreme industrial conditions.
