The Moxa EDS-G509 is an industrial ethernet switch that support up to nine gigabit ethernet ports with five fibre-optic ports. It is designed for installation in harsh industrial environments, able to operate in temperature extremes ranging from -40 to 75 °C and supported by 12/24/48 VDC or 24 VAC redundant dual power inputs.

The switch is suitable for upgrading an existing network to gigabit speeds or building a new full gigabit backbone.

In both fibre ports and wired ports, the switch enables the real-time transmission of video, voice and data across a network by means of full gigabit ethernet. Multimode, singlemode and long-haul optical fibre scenarios can all be realised with the SFP fibre modules.

Network security and reliability are also assured through QoS, IGMP snooping/GMRP, VLAN, LACP, SNMP V1/V2c/V3, and RMON management features.
