The Unitronics range of I/O devices has been expanded with the release of the XL-IO and XL-EX expansion modules.
Based on the same platform as the traditional modules, these four compact devices offer up to 32 digital I/Os per unit, plus three additional analog inputs for maximum I/O capacity and minimised cabinet space.
Equipped with detachable plug-in I/O connectors, the modules (IO-D16A3-TO16, IO-D16A3-RO16) can be expanded up to eight times with the use of the EX-A1 expansion adapter and they can also be used together with regular Unitronics I/O modules.
The XL-EX modules (EX-D16A3-TO16, EX-D16A3-RO8) incorporate EX-A1 adapter technology but add built-in I/O to serve as the first link to the PLC. This means no EX-A1 expansion adapter is needed. Up to seven XL-IO or standard I/O modules may be connected to each XL-EX module.
