The Scalance X-300EEC (Enhanced Environmental Conditions) is an addition to the X-300 series of managed industrial ethernet switches, designed for use in energy automation applications.
The EEC model features IP30 protection rating, making it suitable for deployment in extremely harsh industrial environments, as well communication between switching and protection devices in low- and high-voltage switchgear.
The EEC product line consists of compact devices and a modular 19 in rack unit. There are versions with redundant wide-range power supplies to meet high availability demands and with special coatings for heavy ambient air pollution.
Depending on the version, the devices feature 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports and 100/1000 Mbps FOC ports with different numbers of interfaces.
All versions support time synchronisation with microsecond accuracy in accordance with the IEEE 1588 V2 standard.
