The Banner Engineering M-GAGE wireless sensor node for vehicle sensing is encapsulated in an IP67-rated enclosure and accompanied by a long-lasting FlexPower battery, which supplies power for both sensing and wireless connectivity for up to 10 years.
The sensor is claimed to offer greater durability and reliability than inductive loops and is less costly to install and maintain. In-ground installation requires no major excavation and provides quick and easy access for battery replacement when required. Several sensors can be deployed at once for multiple vehicle detection systems.
The sensor can be directly connected to Modbus RTU RS485 and RS232 serial communications and other industrial protocols via both 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz systems and is available with either internal or external antennas.
