Clipsal Wiser Smart Smoke Alarm

Clipsal by Schneider Electric (Clipsal) has launched the new Wiser Smart Smoke Alarm. Now available in Australia, the lithium-battery-powered Wiser Smart Smoke Alarms have been designed to be user-friendly, incorporating intelligent features to help make homes safer and more secure.

The smoke alarms can be used alone, interconnected wirelessly with other Wiser or Fire Tek smoke alarms or incorporated into a Wiser smart home system, creating an enhanced warning procedure. In case of emergencies, homeowners will be notified if smoke is detected through the Wiser by SE app, even if they are away from the home.

Wiser automations can also be programmed to trigger connected lights to turn on and illuminate a path to a doorway at night if smoke is detected, helping ensure maximum time for safe evacuation. New dual spectrum photoelectric smoke-sensing technology also helps to mitigate false alarms for added confidence.

As well as the safety measures for worst-case scenarios, homeowners can manage fire safety on a day-to-day basis by checking the alarm is online, its current battery status and testing reminders through the Wiser by SE app.

The Wiser Smart Home system comprises a scalable range of sensors, connected sockets and switches, IP cameras, blind controllers and IR converters, allowing homeowners to control as much or as little around their homes as they wish, to help enhance their lifestyles. All devices are unified by the Wiser hub and controlled via the Wiser by SE app.

The updated design of the Wiser Smart Smoke Alarm gives renovators and homeowners a sleeker look matching updated designs, and the extra-large test/hush button makes it simple to routinely perform safety checks.

The lithium-battery-powered model is available now and 230 V mains-powered models will be launching in early 2023.

The Wiser smoke alarm is a red dot winner of the 2022 iF Design Awards, which acknowledge excellent design around the world.
