Clipsal 753SSR series Infrascan sensor

Monday, 14 January, 2013 | Supplied by: Clipsal - by Schneider Electric

Passive infrared motion sensors switch on lights automatically when movement is detected. The 753SSR Infrascan for surface mounting has a field of view of 360° and a sensing range of 24 m in diameter. For detection of very small movements, the 753SSR has 1416 switching zones and 10 detection levels. The angle of coverage can be restricted by means of a zone mask, which is included in the packaging.

The device is suitable for indoor and outdoor applications such as car parks. The adjustable timer and lux level setting allow the user to tailor the product to specific project requirements. Stabilisation of the sensing range negates seasonal temperature changes.

The product features a 360º field of view (zone mask supplied), multilens and multisensor technology, overload protection, electronic temperature compensation, timer for light ‘on’ (duration: 5 s-15 min), lux level setting (2-2000 lux) and a 3-wire design.

With an operating voltage of 240V-50Hz, the device is compatible with a range of loads, including: CFL (20 W x 8 max), fluorescent (1000 W max), incandescent lamp (2400 W max), and has an IP54 protection rating.
