Arc Flash Conference 2017
The 5th annual Arc Flash Conference is being held in Melbourne from 8–9 March 2017. The event will focus on the latest developments and best practice for dealing with arc flash hazards and attendees will be given the opportunity to discuss issues directly with industry experts and to gain practical application knowledge. The focus of the conference will be the experiences of end users; anyone interested in learning more about industry trends, standards development and new work practices should attend.
Keynote speakers include Terry Becker, president and CEO of Electrical Safety Program Solutions in Canada, and Brett Cleaves, director and principal engineer of Engineering Safety.
The program will cover Australian and international arc flash standards development, local and overseas case studies that focus on arc flash mitigation strategies, electrical safety statistics and how to perform a detailed arc flash hazard analysis. It will also provide in-depth information on how to select, test and maintain suitable PPE. There will be a live demonstration of virtual reality software for arc flash training.
The event organisers promise a series of non-commercial, sales pitch-free presentations.
