Program rewards residents for saving power

A new program run by Endeavour Energy and Schneider Electric aims to help NSW residents save on their energy bills and manage consumption.

The PowerSavers program, available for residents of the Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands, Illawarra, South Coast and Western Sydney, is an initiative aimed at reducing power outages often caused by peak demand periods in the cold winter and hot summer months.

By enrolling in the program, residents will be rewarded with new smart home devices or gift cards worth up to $300 while also doing their part for the planet by supporting more sustainable energy management systems.

“The PowerSavers program is a step in the right direction for modernising our electricity network — helping to simplify smart home management for homeowners and create a more sustainable future for our local communities,” said Leanne Pickering, Endeavour Energy’s Chief Customer and Strategy Officer.

“We want to reward local homeowners for the role they’re already playing in energy management, so I’d encourage anyone with a smart home to sign up and see what they can save.”

Schneider Electric’s Pacific Zone President, Gareth O’Reilly, said, “Schneider Electric is delighted to support the PowerSavers program, together with our partners AutoGrid and Clipsal Solar. The innovative new platform brings together expertise across the energy management industry, ultimately providing smarter solutions for local residents.”
