Vector Energy gets behind Tesla Powerpack
Renewable energy solution provider Vector Energy has signalled commitment to the Tesla Powerpack via a series of roadshows throughout Australia, running till early December.
The first event, held in Sydney, was launched by the Hon Anthony Roberts, NSW Minister for Industry, Resources and Energy. Roberts said the partnership is unlocking new opportunities for innovation and investment and promises “to deliver immense economic and environmental benefits to consumers and businesses”.
Vector’s chief executive, Simon Mackenzie, says the roadshow is an opportunity to highlight the company’s exploration of sustainable, renewable, low-emission forms of energy which are providing customers with greater choice and autonomy in how they manage their energy needs.
Vector recently opened the largest grid-scale Tesla Powerpack battery storage system in the Southern Hemisphere to be integrated into a public electricity network at its Glen Innes substation in Auckland, New Zealand.
In Australia, the company is looking for opportunities in the commercial, utility and off-grid sectors in order to partner with businesses to create a new energy future, following its success in the smart meter market.
