Solar and storage training course
The Energy Storage Council is running another four-day residential solar and storage training course in Victoria, 14–17 June.
The course will provide attendees with a detailed understanding of how to size, configure, program and design both on-grid ‘solar hybrid’ systems (solar panels plus battery storage) and off-grid, standalone power systems. No prior knowledge is required, though a basic understanding of solar PV systems is beneficial.
No ‘live’ LV electrical work will be undertaken by unlicensed participants, so you do not need an electrical licence to attend. All practical system training will be done on ELV (<120 VDC and <50 VAC) systems and pre-wired LV systems for non-electricians.
Students will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to design an off-grid or on-grid hybrid system to customer requirements. The course will be held at Moora Moora Community Co-op — an off-grid community consisting of 30 homes, located around a 75-minute drive from Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport.
The course fee is $1980 for ASC/ESC members and $2200 for non members. The fee includes accommodation and all meals. Places are limited, so for further information or to register, visit the ESC website here.
