Everything Electric in Melbourne this week
Following a successful run in Sydney in March this year, international electric vehicle and home energy event Everything Electric is coming to Melbourne from 14–16 November.
Powered by Origin Energy, the event will transform Melbourne Showgrounds into a hub for electric vehicle and renewable energy enthusiasts, showcasing a host of EV debuts for Victoria, as well as an extensive EV test drive experience.
Event organisers expect thousands of visitors to attend the three-day show, where they can explore and test drive EVs of all shapes, sizes and price points under one roof, including Geely, Farizon, Nissan, Omoda Jaecoo, Polestar, Renault, Tesla, Volkswagen, Volvo, XPeng and Zeekr, as well as electric motorcycles and micromobility options such as e-scooters and e-bikes.
“I’m thrilled to be bringing Everything Electric to Melbourne for the first time — a city known for its creativity, curiosity and forward-thinking spirit,” said Robert Llewellyn, renowned renewable energy advocate and founder of Everything Electric.
“Australians are eager to understand how electrification fits into their everyday lives, and this show is about showing what’s new, practical and inspiring, and proving that an electric future is closer than many think.”
Australian- and Melbourne-first launches
Renault will unveil the Scenic E-Tech, marking its first public appearance in Australia. Several other brands will also showcase their models in Victoria for the first time, including Volkswagen’s e-Transporter (available for both display and test drive), Omoda Jaecoo’s J5, Leapmotor’s B10 and Zeekr’s 7GT, representing a diverse mix of next-generation EVs across segments and price points.
Thousands of test drive slots will be available across the three days. As part of this, and in a claimed world-first, Tesla will publicly showcase its Full Self-Driving (Supervised) technology in right-hand-drive vehicles, giving Melburnians an exclusive opportunity to experience autonomous driving first-hand.
Home energy: talks and innovations
Beyond the vehicles, Everything Electric Melbourne will also feature a dedicated Home Energy Zone, connecting attendees with experts in solar, battery systems, EV charging and vehicle-to-grid technology. More than 40 live sessions will take to the stage over the three days, including live podcast recordings, live EV reviews and educational panel discussions tackling topics including:
- Can EVs Go the Distance? The Aussie Road Trip Edition
- Bi-directional Power: EVs that give back
- Battery Boom: Unlocking Home Storage
- Breaking up with Gas: Victoria’s new chapter
