Clipsal Solar partners with Wattwatchers

When hardware-agnostic Clipsal Solar started talking with software-agnostic Wattwatchers Digital Energy, the companies identified an opportunity for collaboration.
Clipsal Solar’s offering in Australia now includes Wattwatchers devices inside its full-service solar solutions to feed real-time, multicircuit electricity data into its Pulse Analytics Kit app.
In parallel, Wattwatchers has welcomed Clipsal Solar as a software partner in its My Energy Marketplace (MEM) initiative, which aims to deploy smart energy management solutions to 5000-plus homes, small businesses and schools by 2022.
At the heart of the MEM is an ‘app store for energy’ model that provides electricity consumers with a choice of software-based solutions, combined with control and easy portability of their in-depth energy data.
Wattwatchers CEO Gavin Dietz welcomed the opportunity.
“It’s hard to think of a better commercial demonstration of the flexibility and scalability of the Wattwatchers digital energy platform,” he said.
“Clipsal Solar has integrated smoothly with the Wattwatchers API, pulling real-time, multicircuit data into its Pulse application.”.
Clipsal Solar is a ‘new energy’ offshoot of electrical technology company Clipsal. Its CEO, Tracy Richardson, said the synergy with Wattwatchers was an obvious one.
“We discovered a strong synergy between Clipsal Solar and Wattwatchers from very early days. Now we’re thrilled to have brought our collaboration to life and look forward to the many joint opportunities ahead of us,” she said.
