Australian Energy Week

Friday, 08 April, 2016

The recently formed Australian Energy Council (AEC) is apparently getting behind the inaugural Australian Energy Week event, which runs 20–23 June 2016 in Melbourne.

AEC was formed after a process of association rationalisation that saw the Energy Suppliers Association of Australia (esaa), Energy Retailers Association of Australia (ERAA) and Energy Networks Association (ENA) come together.

AEC recognises the significant rapid change that the Australian energy industry is currently undergoing and sees the upcoming event as a valuable way to share ideas and insights and to understand the significant implications of decentralising, decarbonising and digitalising the energy market.

The event is an amalgamation of a number of conferences including the Eastern Australia’s Energy Markets Outlook Conference (EAEMO), the NEM Future Forum and the Electricity Storage Future Forum. It will comprise six separate conference streams and feature over 50 industry speakers, covering topics including Energy in IoT, the Future Grid and Energy Productivity and Demand.

For more information, or to take advantage of the early-bird registration rate until 29 April, visit the website here.
