The VSS Monitoring Protector series policy-driven load balancers and speed converters optimise and protect inline security infrastructure. The protector series is capable of redirecting traffic from one to ‘n’ networks and sending redirected traffic to one to ‘n’ inline monitoring tools.

Using these devices as part of a distributed traffic capture system offers users a network intelligence optimisation layer with a centralised view of the network. They provide intelligent traffic processing including packet and flow level control of what each monitor tool receives.

The series provides security, availability and redundancy when deploying inline monitoring tools, as well as the flexibility of aggregation, speed conversion, load balancing, grooming and powered-down state (using PowerSafe).
