New hazardous area equipment supplier

B&R Enclosures has established B&R Ex Systems, a new wholly owned subsidiary providing a comprehensive range of electrical products and services for hazardous areas applications.

David MacAlpine has been appointed to the position of General Manager of B&R Ex Systems. MacAlpine is a qualified Electrical Engineer with over 36 years of hazardous area market experience and leads a team of qualified staff to offer a range of IEC Ex certified electrical equipment for hazardous areas including lighting, cable glands, stainless steel Exe, die-cast aluminium Exd and polycarbonate enclosures.

The range of products includes solutions for a variety of hazardous applications, including oil and gas infrastructure, pharmaceutical, sewage treatment, wheat silos, grain handling and applications where industrial arduous heavy-duty equipment is required, such as metalliferous, mining and cement works.

The manufacturing facility is being fully accredited to ISO9001 and certified under IECEx QAR MP87.
