Fujitsu General Australia announces name change
Following its acquisition by Paloma Rheem Holdings, Fujitsu General Australia is now operating as General Australia, with the name change having come into effect at the beginning of 2026.
Fujitsu General Limited was integrated into Paloma Rheem Holdings Co., Ltd in August 2025. The name change for the company’s Australian branch is aligned with a global transition to the trade name GENERAL Inc.
General Australia said it would continue to market its products under the FUJITSU and GENERAL AIRSTAGE brands, providing continuity for customers and partners across residential and commercial air conditioning solutions as it slowly transitions away from the Fujitsu brand over time.
“This transition reflects both stability and opportunity,” said Philip Perham, managing director, General Australia and New Zealand. “While our business name has changed, what hasn’t changed is our commitment to delivering reliable, energy-efficient air conditioning solutions backed by strong local support.
“Becoming General Australia positions us to work even more closely with Paloma Rheem Holdings’ group of companies, allowing us to build on our strengths, accelerate innovation, and continue delivering comfort and value to Australian homes and businesses.”

General Australia will continue its normal operations, with no impact to existing customer relationships, warranties and service arrangements. The business stated it remains dedicated to advancing air conditioning and inverter technologies, supporting decarbonisation efforts, and contributing to a more sustainable society.
