Changes to GBCA board announced
The Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) passed nine governance changes at an extraordinary general meeting held on 23 July in Sydney. The changes are consistent with best practice for boards in Australia.
The changes will affect the size of the board, the frequency of board meetings, length of board tenure and the election and rotation of directors.
GBCA Chair Tony Arnel announced that Deputy Chair Daniel Grollo has agreed to take on the role of chair, subject to election at the board meeting following the November AGM.
Grollo is the former National President of the Property Council of Australia, a non-executive director on the BlueScope Steel board and has been a board director of the GBCA since it was formed.
Romilly Madew, Chief Executive of the GBCA, said the organisation is “delighted” that Grollo has agreed to take on the role of chair.
