The electrical industry is constantly evolving. With new products popping up on the market and ever-changing energy-efficient options, the industry is always looking for the next big thing. This means businesses need to constantly be improving to keep up with the rapidly growing industry.

At Master Electricians Australia (MEA), we advocate for training and development for all electrical contractors and their employers to continually educate themselves and keep abreast of industry developments. We’ve identified the need to support members who have a strong desire to develop their businesses and expand into new areas through training and learning new skills. This has led us to create a number of new training courses to assist electrical contractors in broadening their business offerings and stay ahead in the industry, whether they are members or not.

The new Master Electrician Energy Efficiency course was created to assist those wanting to build onto their business by entering the rapidly growing energy-efficient market. Through SkillsConnect Australia, we’ve also introduced the complete Certificate III in Telecommunications Digital Reception Technology across Australia and at a reduced price. On 28 May 2013, the switchover from analog to digital television will commence in Brisbane before working its way around to the rest of the country’s capital cities, making this the perfect time for electricians to gain an extra qualification.

Courses such as these present an opportunity for electricians to learn additional skills in order to broaden the scope of work they are able to complete for their clients. By offering these courses, we can deliver more specialist options for electricians in a newly recognised skill area.

MEA also constantly has new and ongoing specialist training courses in the works to further assist electricians in upskilling and development in conjunction with industry developments. With electricians and electrical apprentices alike provided access to resources and training options, you can be assured of your business’s continued success, as well as the ability to offer your clients the best possible service while knowing you’re ahead in the industry.
