Ethernet extension over copper

01 September, 2008

The Westermo DDW-220 is designed to extend ethernet networks over existing copper cables in point-to-point or line sharing applications. Point-to-point transmission distances of up to 10 km can be achieved with data rates of 5.7 Mbps possible over shorter distances on a single copper pair.

ELC programmable logic controller

01 September, 2008

The ELC programmable logic controller is designed to suit control applications of 40 I/Os and less, although it can also be expanded up to 256 I/Os. That way, there is no need to change to a different controller as I/Os need to be expanded.

LCD touch panels

01 September, 2008

The Kortek touch-enabled LCDs are designed to meet the demands of 24/7/365 operations in a range of environments.

AC servomotors

01 September, 2008

The Mavilor MA series of AC servomotors utilises an air gap design with small diameter and short length, which has a short mechanical time constant and extremely short electrical constant that provides high peak torque at high speed, making them suitable for control operations.

VSD with in-built PLC

27 August, 2008

The Delta VFD-e series AC motor drives offer advanced motor control with the added advantage of an in-built PLC. The PLC provides up to 500 program steps and is programmed in standard ladder logic using free software, making simple automation projects easily achieved.

Fibre-optic light source

03 August, 2008

When the Kingfisher KI7827B optical light source with APC (angled physical connection) is used in conjunction with the KI7600 optical power meter, together they can test loss on singlemode optical fibre systems.

Industrial I/Os

01 August, 2008

The high-density Compact I/O modules are additions to the Allen-Bradley range of industrial I/Os including analog, digital and ASCII modules that accommodate various applications while conserving panel space. Providing improved installation and operational flexibility, the modules are compatible with the CompactLogix and MicroLogix control platforms.

h3 series stepper motors

01 August, 2008

The updated version of the h3 series of Portescap step motors is claimed to provide 25+% more torque output across the entire speed range compared with the original h3 models.

Safety relay contact blocks

01 August, 2008

Utilising reliable 6 A dual redundant and forcibly guided relays, the Jemtech PA-X11 safety relay contact block is designed for use in safety systems and light curtain installations as well as relay outputs for light curtains.

Octopus IP67 ethernet switches

01 August, 2008

Hirschmann Automation & Control has added three IP67 switches of the Octopus series to its range. These switches have 8 or 16 twisted-pair ports (100 BASE TX) or 14 twisted pair and two fibre-optic uplink ports (100 BASE FX).

Stepper drive with AC mains supply

01 August, 2008

The RTA XMind-B6 stepper drive is powered by direct connection to 240, 220 or 110 VAC. When using a 240 VAC supply, this provides a 325 VDC motor supply rail which is suitable for high speed and acceleration.

Internet-linked safety I/O

01 August, 2008

The CompactBlock Guard I/O on EtherNet/IP series are safety I/O modules equipped with EtherNet/IP connectivity. The 1791ES-IB16 and the 1791ES-IB8XOBV4 modules allow users to streamline network architectures by employing industry-standard EtherNet/IP protocol for all safety, standard and motion control communications.

Unmanaged industrial ethernet switches

01 August, 2008

Hirschmann’s Spider range of unmanaged industrial ethernet switches has been expanded to include nearly every port configuration possible up to eight ports, enabling cost-effective solutions to be implemented - from a 2-port fibre transceiver, to a 3-port TAP (for ‘daisy-chain’ applications) and a 4- or 8-port switch with or without fibre.

Industrial PC interface

01 August, 2008

Siemens has equipped its industrial PC family with a Profinet interface. Designed as a 3-port switch, the interface supports isochronous real time and integrates into Profinet networks.

Santerno Sinus variable speed drives

01 August, 2008

Santerno’s Sinus range of flux vector drives are suitable for all industry segments, and have power ratings from 0.4 to 2000 kW and supply voltages up to 690 VAC.
