ConnectPower switchmode power supply units
The ConnectPower single- and three-phase primary switchmode power supply units are claimed to offer high levels of efficiency as well as compact dimensions and moderate heat generation.
The units are available in versions ranging from 25 to 1000 W. Depending on the model, the input voltage of the single- and three-phase units are 115/230 VAC or 3 x 400 VAC. Under maximum load the units achieve efficiency ratings of up to 88% and reduce harmonic currents through PFC. The 24 VDC output voltage can be adjusted via a potentiometer across a range of 24-28 VDC.
The output is electronically limited to between 105-130%. Additionally, the primary switch mode units are equipped with an integrated diagnostics and status output. An optional signalling contact is implemented as a changeover contact. Each device output is short-circuit proof.
The units can be operated in parallel by using a diode module to increase power capacity or for redundancy purposes. In this case, both switchmode power supply units operate in parallel with the diode module and share the power drawn by the load. If one of the units should fail, the second unit provides the full amount of power required.
The diode module decouples the two units 100%; that means that neither of the units can negatively affect the other if a fault occurs.
