Testo 875 and 881 thermal imagers

Tuesday, 03 November, 2009 | Supplied by: Testo Pty Ltd

The testo 875 and 881 thermal imagers enable materials such as defective components in switch cabinets to be tested damage free, thereby identifying problems before malfunctions or fires occur.

Both instruments offer integrated measurement site management for structuring inspection routes. In addition to infrared recording, a real image of the measurement site can be recorded with the integrated digital camera.

The 881 model includes a headset with a speech function so that, during an inspection, distinctive features can be stored with the infrared image as spoken commentary.

Interchangeable lenses ensure that the right image section is always visible in the display. With automatic Hot/Cold Spot Recognition, critical temperature conditions are marked, ensuring uninterrupted error localisation on site. Multiple-page thermography reports can also be created with the PC software.

With its high-temperature resolution of <80 mK, the 881 provides accurate diagnosis, so that critical heat statuses can be identified directly in the instrument using the isotherm function and preventative measures taken.

The measuring range of the 881 can be extended up to 550 °C using the high-temperature option.
