Power Parameters UNI-T UT500A battery-powered insulation tester

The UNI-T UT500A series battery-powered insulation tester is available in 1000 V max (model 501A) and 2500 V max (model 502A) models. The testers are compact in size (150 x 100 x 71 mm) and have a large backlit display measuring 71 x 34 mm.

The instrument is provided with a carry case, batteries (6 x 1.5 V), alligator clip, probe and test leads, and a manual.

The tester is manual ranging and is provide with auto-discharge, overload indication and alarm buzzer. Both the 501A and 502A indicate line voltage of 30 to 750 VAC.

The UT501A has testing voltages of 100, 250, 500 and 1000 V. The UT502A has testing voltages of 500, 1000 and 2500 V. Testing current for all voltage ranges is 1 mA. The maximum insulation resistance on the 1000 V range is 5 GΩ, and on the 2500 V range, 9.9 GΩ.

The UNI-T502A is suited to industrial insulation measurements, being equipped with direct measurement of both the dielectric absorption ratio (60 s/30 s resistance ratio) and Polarisation Index (10 min/60 s resistance ratio).
